From Nose To Necklace- The Process

After purchasing your necklace I will send you an easy to use two-part silicone mould set. With this kit you will be able to create a mould of your dogs nose, I will send two sets of silicone- so you have enough for two moulds ( I will chose the best mould to imprint when returned). You will then need to return your mould to me ( I will provide a pre paid packaging label so there will be no surprise costs!)

Once your necklace is returned I will transform your mould into your disk or charm necklace.

I use a material called silver clay to make my pendants- this is sterling (925) silver that is manufactured into a clay form to make textured and detailed silver pieces. Once the clay is fired the size of the necklace will shrink (around 8-9%) due to the melting of the other binding materials in the clay. The pendants will roughly be around 15mm width after firing.

**(please consider each necklace shape will differ slightly due to difference in imprints- the circle will have an organic shape meaning it may not be exactly symmetrical due to the nature of the imprinting process)**

The processing time for your necklace is very much dependent on you sending the mould back to us- so please consider that this will vary. 

From purchasing the necklace we aim to dispatch the mould kit with in 1-2 working days (not Sundays). You will then need to create the mould using the kit & return this to us.

Once we have received the mould from you it will take around 1-2 weeks to make your pendant necklace and return it to you. (Please add an extra week from Gold Vermeil options- as we will need to send the piece of to an external company to plate it). So approximately 2-4 weeks in total (3-5 for Gold Vermeil).
